Welcome to Clan Rince School of Irish Dance!
Clan Rince (gaelic for “dance family”, pronounced clan rinka) has been serving San Diego since 1997. In 2012 we changed our name to Clan Rince to reflect our school’s community spirit. We have two locations, one in San Marcos and one in the San Diego neighborhood of Kensington.
In 1997, Clan Rince was established by former North American champion, Jeannie Thornton, ADCRG. Her former student, Alisa Dosch, TCRG, joined the teaching staff in 2006. Both teachers are fully accredited by An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha, the Irish Dance Commission in Dublin, Ireland. Together they teach full time in both studio locations. Clan Rince teaches children and adults, age 5 and up. Clan Rince students participate in competition, performances, parades and community service.
